Connecting Community Needs with Resources
|
Churches bare the unique privilege and responsibility of providing moral development, socialization, and cultural competency services to Tucson neighborhood residents. Tucson neighborhoods are full of people who desire love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). There is no shortage of people who want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. |

Churches have an uncontested role in supplying communities with hope.
Along with hope, Churches are commissioned to provide safe places for people to interact. They are places where neighborhood residents can meet and learn, interact with like-minded people, and share a meal with one another. They can also build strong relationships with others who can help share each others challenges in life (Act 2:42). As neighborhood residents and families are hit hard by difficult circumstances, the Church is there to share itself with them. It is called to meet the needs of those who have been shaken by life (Acts 4:32-35).
The Church is a unique entity in that it is charged to tell people about Christ, and in doing so, it is also equipped to assist neighborhood resident's in managing and solving life's daily challenges.
